How many photos do I need to make up a 5, 10, 20 minute production?
- 50 photos will result approximately in 7-8 minute presentation.
- 100 photos result approximately 14-15 minutes presentation.
- 150 photos will make ~20 minute show.
- 500 photos more than an hour.
- 1000 photos (travel memoires) - 2-3 hours of slideshow.
What picture size can I send?
We can work with any picture size.
Can I scan the pictures myself and send them to you via email or ftp?
Yes, you can. You may scan them and email or use ftp. If you decide to scan the photos yourself, please keep following in mind...To create high quality scans you need to crop and size them to fit 720 horizontal x 480 vertical pixels (at minimum). The higher resolution of the photos, the better your photos will look on the screen. Pictures less than 100 pixels/inch will result in very grainy picture. Save all your photos as jpg format (if possible).
Should the photos I send be vertical or horizontal?
Horizontal photographs or landscape photos will look best on TV screen (especially widescreen). Vertical photos still look good, but there may be black border around and background may be visible.
Will you digitally crop my photos?
Typically we would not crop the photos unless it would make sense to for better viewing experience.
How should I choose the order of my photos?
We will prepare the project in exact order that you name the photos, unless otherwise specified. You can choose to organize them in folders or any other way, however depending on the nature of the show, random order is also often used.
How long will photo appear on the screen?
Each photo will appear for between 5-8 seconds depending on the nature of the presentation, choice of audio and tempo. Group photos are often extended to 8-12 seconds depending on amount of people on the groupshot.
Do I need to watch the DVD on a computer only?
No, the DVD that we create can be watched with regular Blueray or DVD player or a computer equipped with DVD-ROM drive. All you need to do is to insert the DVD disc into a player and play.
Do I have to manually forward the slides?
No, once you press play, dvd presentation will play automatically and advance slides using our transition effects.
Can my old black and white photographs be transfered do DVD?
Certainly, we advice transfering as many of your old photos to DVD to digitally archive them, not to mention that all of the old "faded" photos can be digitally enhanced and mastered before archiving.

How long will it take you to complete my project?
Turn around time is between 10-14 days depending on the complexity of the project. In some cases (Memorials), expedited service 1-3 days can be arranged.
Who owns the copyrights to my finished video?
Siteeffects owns copyrights but release can be negotiated upon request.
Will you keep a copy of my DVD?
Like most of other professional agencies, we will keep master of your project archived for 2 years. If you'd like to reorder copies please email or call.
What about photo retouching?
We will do some minor retouching of digital images to enhance DVD experience. This will include color correction, cropping, red-eye reduction and enhancing level of contrast. This will be done as part of the service to ensure that your DVD show is trully breathtaking.
Can I pick my own music?
Yes, you may make your own soundtrack picks, but please note that in order to include copyrighted music you must own the original recording (purchased MP3, Music CD) to be used in production. Siteeffects can purchase music if necessary.
Can you work from negatives or 35mm slides as well as photographs?
Working with negatives or 35mm slides can be little more challenging but it can be done.
Can I play my DVD video overseas?
Yes, all of the shows are set for multiregion. You only have to specify broadcast system: NTSC (North America) or PAL (Europe, Asia). All newer TVs are now compatible with both systems.
How can I Upload Video Slideshow to YouTube?
You are recommended to save video in the following parameters. File size and duration need to be less than 2GB and 15 minutes. Before uploading, see the easy steps above to make a video with video making software.

After you creating the MP4 file, login your YouTube ID, choose "Account" and click "Upload" button, and then select "Upload video", write down your video title and description. It's better to enter tag for easily searched by others.
